Design and Build Quality
Lenovo Flex 2 14 exhibits a plastic build with brushed aluminium look and in several colourful options. Advertised by its maker as 'thin and light,' the laptop won't win any award in either category at a thickness of 22.4 millimetres and weight of 1.9 kilograms.A key selling point, however, is the laptop's convertible design. It has a firm hinge that allows you flip the screen around up to 300 degrees to use in a Stand mode. The Flex 2 14 comes with an AccuType keyboard - similar to those seen on Yoga devices - with optional backlight. The build quality is decent for a convertible at its price.
The Display
As you may have guessed from its name, Lenovo Flex 2 14 packs a 14-inch diagonal display. The 10-point multi-touch display has a resolution of up to 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is able to recognise simultaneous inputs from up to 10 fingers and can be interacted with using simple gestures.Performance
The Flex 2 14 is equipped with an Intel Core i series processor – up to Core i7. What that translates into is that you should be enabled to do significant multitasking on the dual-mode notebook, especially when you consider that it comes with up to 16 GB of DDR3L RAM.In addition to integrated Intel HD graphics, Lenovo Flex 2 14 boasts a dedicated NVIDIA GT820/840 graphics card to enable you run some demanding apps and engage in a level of enjoyable gaming.
Miscellaneous Specs
The convertible runs on touch-optimised Windows 8.1 operating system. Lenovo Flex 2 14 offers diverse storage options: up to 1TB hard drive, 1TB Hybrid SSHD + 8GB Nano flash or 256GB SSD. Superb sound is ensured by built-in stereo speakers with Dolby Advanced Audio technology.Lenovo Flex 2 14 is equipped with a battery that is said to be capable of delivering up to six hours of use. Ports and interfaces include three USB ports (one USB 3.0), an HDMI-out port and a 2-in-1 memory card reader.
