Samsung Galaxy Note 6 might be waterproof and dustproof

Samsung-galaxy-note-5-s6-edge-plus-15
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Note 6, the stylus-equipped phablet, will be waterproof and dustproof to IP68 certification, SamMobile claims.
Launched in February, Samsung's Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge flagships are also IP68-certified, meaning they can be submerged in up to 5 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.
Another rumor, coming from Dutch website GalaxyClub, claims that the Note 6 might have an iris scanner as well. The report is as thin — it's based on Samsung Mobile importing an "iris cam" into India — but some sort of eye-scanning software would make sense on a business-oriented phone like the Note.
The Note 6 is probably still a while away. Potential launch dates include summer, ahead of Apple's iPhone event, and early September (IFA show in Berlin is held Sept 2 to 7, and the Note 4 was launched at IFA), but nothing has been made official at this point.
The rumors are already pointing to it having a large, 5.8-inch, quad HD screen and 6GB of RAM. Putting all those rumors together (and we're well aware that some or all may prove to be false), and it seems like the new Note might be one powerful phablet.

Meizu m3 Note Price & Specs

Meizu's m series of smartphones has become increasingly popular in the last couple of years for delivering amazing value for money. The latest entry in the range, the Meizu m3 Note (a.k.a. Meizu Blue Charm Note 3), looks to keep things that way with awesome features such as a large Full HD display, an octa-core processor, a humongous battery and fingerprint reader.

Meizu m3 Note

Design and Display

Parading a chic unibody design, the Meizu m3 Note appears quite premium for the price. The chassis is fashioned out of 6000 Series aluminium – a first in the 'm' range, and an awesome one at that. It comes in black/grey and white/gold colour schemes.

The Meizu m3 Note is fitted with a huge IPS display measuring 5.5 inches diagonally. The touchscreen has a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels promising very sharp-looking images and immersive wide-angle viewing. It features 2.5D glass.

Camera and Storage

The Meizu m3 Note delivers just about what its predecessor m2 Note offered on the camera front. It rocks a sturdy 13-megapixel camera on the rear and is fitted with a 5-megapixel snapper on the front.

This is a great pair, at least on paper. For storage, you get either 16 GB or 32 GB of zippy eMMC 5.1 solid state solution. Additional storage can be put in the mix using a microSD card.

Performance and OS

On the inside, the m3 Note is configured with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 for highly convincing performance and robust multitasking. The Cortex-A53 CPU runs along at speeds of up to 1.8 GHz.

It is paired with a Mali T860 GPU and either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. The handset boots Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, overlaid with Meizu's Flyme UI.

Other Features

One of the things you are likely to find awesome about the budget-friendly Meizu m3 Note is its mammoth 4,100mAh battery, which looks like one to get it running for hours on end. It features 4G LTE connectivity option with VoLTE support.

You also get dual SIM slots in the package, with one of these taking either a SIM or microSD card at a time. Another interesting addition to the phablet is an mTouch 2.1 fingerprint scanner nestled in the Home button.

HTC 10 is shown from all sides in leaked promo video

Htc
HTC's new flagship will most likely be called HTC 10, and will come in three colors: silver, gold and black

Can't wait for tomorrow's unveiling of HTC's upcoming flagship? A leaked promotional video (below) will give you a very good look at the HTC 10 in all its metallic glory.
The video, posted on Twitter early Monday, seems to be official, and matches previously leaked images and descriptions of the phone.
While the video does not have any details about the HTC 10's innards, it reveals it will be available in three colors — silver, gold and black — and gives a very good look at the large (and bumpy) camera sensor on the back.
The video also seems to confirm HTC's new flagship will be called HTC 10, dropping the (frankly unnecessary) "One M" bit from the name, in contrast to last year's HTC One M9.
The 5.2-inch, quad HD phone is rumored to come with Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 12-megapixel "ultrapixel" camera on the back coupled with a 5-megapixel selfie cam, and a 3,000mAh battery.
The phone is scheduled to be officially unveiled tomorrow at 8 a.m. ET; Mashable will bring you all the details.

Infinix Hot 3 X554 Specs Jumia Smartphones Deals

Infinix Hot 3 is the sequel to the AndroidOne powered Hot 2, launched back in the third quarter of 2015. The smartphone drops AndroidOne in its latest iteration and seems built to interest selfie takers. It also offers a bigger display and comes with a more powerful battery.

Infinix Hot 3

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 3 X554 exhibits a sleek appearance, especially on the front. The body is fashioned out of plastic and finished in diverse colours to suit different tastes.

Infinix Hot 3 in full colour

The curvy rear panel is said to have a nice diamond texture making for comfortable handling. The Infinix Hot 3 rocks a huge 5.5-inch display, compared to the 5-inch unit found on the Infinix Hot 2.

However, the resolution of the full-laminate display remains at HD (720 x 1280 pixels), which means this device could offer slightly less sharp images compared to its predecessor, though if the screen is brighter the Hot 3 may turnout sharper.

The Cameras

Looking at the specs sheet, you could say nothing has changed between the Infinix Hot 3 and Hot 2 in the camera department, higher there appears to be some significant changes.

This new phablet offers a combo of 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for image capturing.

The back camera uses an OV8865 sensor and boasts a 5-element lens for better light intake efficiency to further ensure great-looking images. It is HDR-compatible as well.

While the resolution of the front snapper may appear measly, Infinix Mobility promises 'hottest selfies' as this comes with soft flash and boasts an 84-degree wide-angle lens. The cameras are accompanied by a range of impressive features, including smile, voice and gesture recognition as well as touch capture.

Hardware and Software

The Infinix Hot 3 is equipped to offer about the same level of performance as its predecessor. It is kitted with a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, which gets support from either 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM.

Onboard storage capacity is 16 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB with external storage media. The phablet boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS coated with a XUI skin said to have been optimised to deliver long standby time.

Power is provided to the Infinix Hot 3 by a 3000mAh battery, more powerful than the 2,200mAh juicer on the Hot 2. Talk time of up to 20 hours and web browsing of up to 9 hours are promised on a charge. The handset boasts reverse charging capability enabling you to boost other mobile devices with this battery.

Pricing and availability

Infinix Hot 3 is currently available at leading online stores in Nigeria. Infinix Hot 3 Price in Nigeria ranges between 26,500 to 37,000 Naira, depending on your location in the country.

Meizu m3 Note Rumour Roundup

Meizu m3 Note is the successor to the affordable m2 Note phablet launched last year. The device is not official at this time, but it is expected to be unveiled few days from now. Here is the much we have managed to gather on what to expect from the handset
Meizu m3 Note

Display and Camera

The Meizu m3 Note is rumoured to offer the same screen size of 5.5 inches as its predecessor. The IGZO IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen has an impressive resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels for awesome clarity. A high pixel density of about 440 ppi means you are in for highly enjoyable wide-angle viewing with your friends.

In the camera department, the Meizu m3 Note is engineered to take breathtaking images. It packs a robust 13-megapixel primary camera with autofocus, dual tone dual-LED flash and HDR.

The shooter records sharp Full HD (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second. A 5-megapixel selfie snapper with 1080p video recording capability is also expected in the package.

Hardware and Software

Under the hood, the m3 Note is expected to be equipped with a powerful MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor paired with a Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. Sources say the phablet will be made available in two models.

The base model will come with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of onboard storage. The more expensive variant offers a more generous 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of inbuilt storage. The Meizu m3 Note is likely to boot Android 5.1 Lollipop, overlaid with its maker’s Flyme UI skin.

Other Features

This phablet allows users expand storage memory by up to 128 GB using a microSD card. Juice will be supplied by a 3,200mAh battery that is non user-replaceable. As would be expected of most phones from the midrange upwards these days, the Meizu m3 Note offers LTE support.

It also supports dual-SIM dual standby feature and dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot.

OnePlus 3 Specs Rumour Roundup

OnePlus 3 is a new flagship killer expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2016. It will hope to build on the reputation its Chinese manufacturer has managed to build since the launch of the OnePlus One couple of years ago. Let’s have a look at what is known about the OnePlus 3 for now.

OnePlus 3

Design and Display

The last two offerings in the OnePlus series of awesomely-priced smartphones shared largely the same design. The OnePlus 3 will come with a new, captivating design different from what users have been used to, according to OnePlus.

The display is expected to remain at 5.5 inches. Contrary to earlier talk of a Quad HD (1,440p) resolution, the handset will still have a Full HD (1080p) display, going by more recent leaks. The OnePlus 3 looks promising for immersive viewing nevertheless.

Camera and Storage

The camera department has received an upgrade. On the rear of the OnePlus 3 will be a sturdy 16-megapixel shooter. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel camera that looks to appeal to selfie takers.

In terms of storage, buyers get abundant onboard storage of 32 GB. There will also be an option to expand storage space via a microSD card slot.

Performance and OS

Performance is one of the areas where the OnePlus 3 is said to have received a boost. The phablet is powered by latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, representing impressive value for a device that is not expected to command flagship price.

It is speculated to come with generous 4 GB of RAM for truly solid performance and high responsiveness. The newest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system will run the show for amazing user experience.

It is being speculated that the OnePlus 3 will be equipped with a 3,500mAh battery, slightly bigger than what its predecessor offered. The handset is expected to also offer wireless charging, USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner.

Gionee P5 Mini: The Specs of Elegance

The excitement that lit her face when I gave her the package was nothing compared to the exhilaration when she unwrapped it. Even though she had tried to hide it from me, I knew she really needed a phone and so I got one. I watched, a little proud of myself as she inspected the gift. She couldn’t hide the feeling.

Gionee P5 Mini: The Specs of Elegance

I could relate. The first shock that hits you when you hold the Gionee P5 Mini in your hands is its semblance with the seeming images in previews that seemed out of this world.

The stylish curves of metal and glass create a perfect symmetry within the ambit of 132mm by 66mm and 9.1mm. I had chosen the white one, it was her best colour and it added a purity that you could feel.

She said that she loved me, that she was very grateful, I smiled. “It seemed like a small phone but by many standards, the P5mini is spectacular.”

“Tell me about it” she requested

“Its 4.5-inch screen may not be too much when you are talking about quantity but it is brandished with the latest technology on touch screen (on-cell) and display (in-plane switching). The on-cell is a touch screen technology that reduces the thickness of display by placing the sensor directly on the lenses. The in-plane switching ensures the clean and sharp display from whatever angle the screen is viewed.”

She looked at me and urged me to go on.

The Gionee P5 Mini employs the DTS technology to bring users an unforgettable experience of sound and music. It has a volume strengthening mode which takes the volume of the phone speakers beyond its limits and above the last crank, to deliver a valuable extra. It has a shake-and-change-the-music-feature that works.”

With that, she picked up the phone as if to check the things that I was saying. I let her. Then she took a picture of me. I didn’t see it coming.

Gionee P5 Mini: Made of Tech and Beauty

“This is quite clear!” She was surprised. “The camera is so clear.”

“Is it?” I asked and continued “With a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera, the Gionee P5 Mini does way better than other phones within this range. From the automatic face beauty that operates in its selfie camera to the automatic LED flash that is attached to the rear camera.”

She took one or two selfies and then her facial expression nudged me to go on.

“With four processors (quad core), multitasking is the new normal. The fully charged battery of the Gionee P5 Mini can hold up to 1800 (mAh) milliampere hour of charge. Combined with a lot of smart power management options, you can always be in power especially on the “extreme mode” where power consumption comes close to a standstill while keeping only the vitals of calls, message, clock and contacts alive.”

“I love the phone and I love you.”

Launched only last week, Gionee’s newest phone model, the P5mini is already making a name for itself and gathering momentum in all the spaces where phones play.

An excellent combination of technology and elegance, the P5 Mini can be as flashy as it can be discrete, as loud as it can be silent; deliberately designed to fit occasions and it is available at Konga. Check Here

Microsoft Lumia 650 review

Introduction

The Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL provided the answer to the platform's fans starved for quality hardware and the complete flagship experience. The budget-friendly Lumia 550 that launched alongside didn't get as much attention, but served its purpose just fine - introducing the new Windows 10 to the masses.
Now, everyone will agree this is far from a complete lineup and, a few months later, Microsoft is ready to do something about it. The Lumia 650 is a gorgeous looking phone - we can't think of a better way to start filling the blanks.

Microsoft Lumia 650 revie

Microsoft Lumia 650 review It is amazing how much of a style difference a bit of metal can make. The Lumia 650 looks much more refined than any Lumia device to date (including the Nokia Lumia 830, which too flaunted a metal frame). Actually, we might as well go ahead and say it - the Lumia 650 looks better than its flagship siblings, the Lumia 950 and 950 XL.
So, if all that hotness is available for less than $200, what's the catch? To put it gently, the internals don't quite do justice to the classy exterior.

Microsoft Lumia 650 review

 Key features
    • Windows 10 Mobile
    • Aluminum frame around polycarbonate body with an exchangeable back cover
    • Slim and surprisingly lightweight body
    • 5.0 inch OLED display with 720p resolution and 297ppi
    • Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7, 1GB of RAM
    • 16GB of built-in memory
    • 8 MP, f/2.2, 28mm main camera with a single LED flash
    • 5 MP, f/2.2 front camera capable of 720p video recording
    • Cat. 4 LTE (150/50Mbps); Wi-Fi b/g/n; Bluetooth 4.1; GPS/GLONASS/BDS; microUSB
    • 2,000mAh battery capacity

Main disadvantages

    • Entry-level chipset
    • No 1080p video recording
    • Rather low battery capacity
    • No support for Windows 10 Continuum
A punchy AMOLED screen does wonders for the overall impression - it's a Windows phone after all with plenty of black throughout the UI - and that's actually not where the good stuff ends. A solid 16GB of inbuilt storage is good enough to get you started and for everything else, there's a memory card slot. A fairly wide selfie camera is on the plus side as well.
Unfortunately, the product team didn't have much budget left after these had to resort to using entry-level hardware, which has resulted in a rather unbalanced end product. It's not that the raw processing power is not enough - Windows smartphones are known to be quite frugal. But the choice of chipset has limited other aspects of the phone experience - the absence of 1080p video recording is one of them.

Obviously, LTE support was a higher priority than high-res video for the intended markets and demographics. Anyway, the compact and sturdy Lumia 650 will certainly get a lot of attention from budget-conscious users.
We'll have a look at what you will be getting with the Lumia 650 on the following pages. This review is a little shorter than usual but hopefully sharp and to the point.
