Toshiba Satellite C55 15.6-inch (2015) Laptop Specs

This 15 incher is one of two all-new C-Series laptops just announced by Toshiba, targeted at those people who are after a decent computer to use for everyday tasks. The Toshiba Satellite C-Series 15.6-inch (Toshiba Satellite C55) sports an HD display and is equipped with an Intel or AMD processor that should do enough for browsing the Net, preparing documents and playing basic games.

Build and Screen

The Toshiba Satellite C55 shows off a plastic design, which easily gives away its budget-centric status. It has a brushed matte finish. As can already be deduced from its description, the laptop features a 15.6-inch display with HD resolution. The display is based on TruBrite technology.

Buyers may also be able to get units of the Toshiba Satellite C55 laptop with a touchscreen.

Windows 10 in Focus

Although the new 15.6-incher will start shipping with Windows 8.1 operating system, it is designed with the latest Windows 10 software in mind. Consumers who buy the laptop before the new operating system becomes available will be eligible for free upgrades.

The Toshiba Satellite C55 notebook comes with its maker's TruTalk dual-array microphones to help users fully tap into Microsoft's personal assistant Cortana, which now comes built into Windows 10. This design also ensures you get to enjoy great Skype experience.

Other Specifications

Toshiba Satellite C55 will be powered by a decent Intel or AMD processor. The full details of the chip are still not known, but it is expected to be one good enough for just basic, everyday computing tasks.

The Toshiba Satellite C55 laptop supports up to 16 GB of RAM. Up to 1 TB of internal storage will be available to provide you ample space to store all your essential files. Port options include USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports, an HDMI port and an SD card reader. You also get Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11n for connectivity.

It was scheduled to go on sale from June 21, 2015.

Pricing and availability

Toshiba Satellite C55 laptops are not yet available in Nigeria, but has already gone on sale in the United States. Toshiba Satellite C55 price in Nigeria is expected to start around N70,000, depending on your location and the configuration of the laptop.
