Infinix Hot 3 X554 Specs Jumia Smartphones Deals

Infinix Hot 3 is the sequel to the AndroidOne powered Hot 2, launched back in the third quarter of 2015. The smartphone drops AndroidOne in its latest iteration and seems built to interest selfie takers. It also offers a bigger display and comes with a more powerful battery.

Design and Display

The Infinix Hot 3 X554 exhibits a sleek appearance, especially on the front. The body is fashioned out of plastic and finished in diverse colours to suit different tastes.

The curvy rear panel is said to have a nice diamond texture making for comfortable handling. The Infinix Hot 3 rocks a huge 5.5-inch display, compared to the 5-inch unit found on the Infinix Hot 2.

However, the resolution of the full-laminate display remains at HD (720 x 1280 pixels), which means this device could offer slightly less sharp images compared to its predecessor, though if the screen is brighter the Hot 3 may turnout sharper.

The Cameras

Looking at the specs sheet, you could say nothing has changed between the Infinix Hot 3 and Hot 2 in the camera department, higher there appears to be some significant changes.

This new phablet offers a combo of 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for image capturing.

The back camera uses an OV8865 sensor and boasts a 5-element lens for better light intake efficiency to further ensure great-looking images. It is HDR-compatible as well.

While the resolution of the front snapper may appear measly, Infinix Mobility promises 'hottest selfies' as this comes with soft flash and boasts an 84-degree wide-angle lens. The cameras are accompanied by a range of impressive features, including smile, voice and gesture recognition as well as touch capture.

Hardware and Software

The Infinix Hot 3 is equipped to offer about the same level of performance as its predecessor. It is kitted with a quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, which gets support from either 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM.

Onboard storage capacity is 16 GB, expandable by up to 32 GB with external storage media. The phablet boots Android 5.1 Lollipop OS coated with a XUI skin said to have been optimised to deliver long standby time.

Power is provided to the Infinix Hot 3 by a 3000mAh battery, more powerful than the 2,200mAh juicer on the Hot 2. Talk time of up to 20 hours and web browsing of up to 9 hours are promised on a charge. The handset boasts reverse charging capability enabling you to boost other mobile devices with this battery.

Infinix Hot 3 is Specifications

Infinix Hot 3 is expected to be the successor of Infinix's popular entry level smartphone, the Infinix Hot . It is believed the Infinix Hot 3 will be launched soon going by the campaign on Infinix Mobility website with the hashtag #Playhot.

We have also obtained exclusive photos of the upcoming smartphone, though we can't confirm the name, we strongly believe it is indeed the Infinix Hot 3. See the exclusive photos below. Though specs, pricing, availability have not been confirmed, there have been lots of speculation online about the Infinix Hot 3.

Display & Camera

The Hot 2 came with a 5.0-inch display, but speculations are high that the new Infinix Hot 3 will come with a bigger 5.5-inch display with the same 720 x 1280 pixels resolution.

This theory makes sense going by the length of the phone (from the photos), however, it begs the question what will become of the Infinix Note range. This could mean we could see a major overhaul of the next iteration of the Note series, the Infinix Note 3 to better differentiate it with the Hot 3.

We expect improvement in the front camera department going by the tag line of the campaign "selfie with soft flash makes life colorful". Speculations are high that the front camera on the Infinix Hot 3 will offer wide-angle lens and a soft flash. It will remain a 2 megapixels camera.

The rear camera is expected to also remain at 8 megapixels, though it is rumoured that their could be another variant of the Hot 3, called the Infinix Hot 3 Pro which could offer a 13 megapixels rear camera.

Hardware & Software

Unlike its predecessor, the Infinix Hot 3 will not be an AndroidOne device. It is expected to run on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with XUI on top. The phone will be powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek Quad-core processor with Mali400-MP2 GPU and 1GB RAM.

The Infinix Hot 3 Pro is expected to offers 2GB of RAM as well as 4G LTE. A 3000 mAh is expected on both variants.

Exclusive Photos

Here are exclusive photos of the upcoming smartphone from Infinix. Infinix have not confirmed that the name is Infinix Hot 3. All we know for sure is that the next phone to be launched by Infinix Mobiility will look similar to the ones in the photo.

Pricing & Availability

The pricing and availability of the Infinix Hot 3 have not been confirmed. However, speculations are high that the new smartphone will be launched sometime in April. Though there is no word on pricing, we will be marking down the Infinix Hot 3 for a price range of between 25,000 and 37,000 Naira.
